Life Skills: Scratch Workshop by DSTA - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL
Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

[Life Skills]
What is Scratch? Scratch is a program whereby you can create interactive stories, games and animations and share your creations online. It can be fun for both the young and old!

Here at Children’s Wishing Well, we believe that children are natural creative thinkers. On 8 November, we were glad to have volunteers from DSTA Defence Science and Technology Agency host a Scratch Program for the children.

The children were taught on how to program and were guided to create their own interactive stories. They had no trouble expressing their creativity through the online media platform and were full of exciting ideas. Great job kids, and thank you to our volunteers for making the day a memorable one for the children!
