Life Skills: Financial Literacy Talk & Robotics Workshop - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL
Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

Financial Literacy Talk & Robotics Workshop

Here at Children’s Wishing Well, we acknowledge the high importance of education. Hence, besides providing academic lessons for the children, we also believe that our children should be equipped with practical life skills and constantly remain updated and savvy with the changes happening in this world.

We had an insightful Financial Literacy talk hosted by Dr Gary Yee, who taught the children on how to budget and understand their finances better. The children thought through their budget and expenses and learnt how to make practical decisions and choices in saving up.

This was followed by an interesting Robotics Workshop by Mr Akash, who exposed the children to the wonders of our current technological advancements. The children were made to reflect on the impact of these changes in their lives, and had the chance to try some hands-on programming.

Thank you Dr Gary Yee and Mr Akash for sharing your valuable knowledge and skills!
