Learning Journeys: Qian Hu Fish Farm with SIM iCare Club - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL
Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

Our beneficiaries had an exciting time with our lovely volunteers from SIM iCare Club. They played some ice breakers which made our little friends burst out into laughter, made little fish from paper plates and then off to Qian Hu Fish Farm we went! – exploring the many different varieties of fish on display in the aquariums and finding out fun facts about the history of Qian Hu Fish Farm. The day ended with the children doing some longkang fishing with the volunteers and everyone discovering that we had a few young prodigies who were skilled at catching fish!

Thank you SIM iCare Club for being such positive role models to our young friends and for organizing such a well-thought out trip.
