Groceries-For-Families: AIA (13 July 2019) - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL

Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

Friday 13th July 2019

We have immense appreciation, gratitude and admiration for our volunteers.

This was probably the earliest Groceries-For-Packing family session we have had in the past few years. The leaders from AIA started streaming from 7.30am onwards and packing officially commenced at 8am. However, the early morning didn’t slow our volunteers down. Instead, they seemed all the more motivated to do their best!

In about half an hour’s time, 296 grocery bags were packed with no error made!

After a short break, some of the leaders, together with their volunteers, proceeded with the island-wide delivery of the grocery bags.

A round of applause for the leaders and volunteers from AIA, for their efforts and contribution to the success of our July’s Groceries-For-Families!
