Career GPS: NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTUCCA) (15 October 2019) - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL
Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

04 Nov Career GPS: NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTUCCA) (15 October 2019)

[Career GPS]

Tuesday 15th October 2019

Youths from Kent Ridge Secondary School and Jurongville Secondary School, who had indicated a keen interest in the arts scene, were in for a real treat as they were hosted by NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTUCCA) for a unique session of Career GPS.

There was sharing by staff who talked about the different roles at NTUCCA; the youths also got to see the what goes on behind the scene before an exhibition comes to fruition; they also had the invaluable opportunity of meeting one of the Artists-in-Residence, Mr. Baptist Coelho, who spoke at length about his work on the Siachen Glacier Conflict.

It was the first time Career GPS took place in an organization dealing with the arts scene, and we are sure it will not be the last.
