Career GPS: Macquarie - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL
Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

25 Oct Career GPS: Macquarie

Macquarie hosted a highly unconventional Career GPS for the students from Clementi Town Secondary School and Westwood Secondary School.

It wasn’t the typical career advice that was offered. Instead, through the interaction with the Macquarie staff, students were reassured that at their current stage in life, it is fine to be uncertain of what they would like to pursue in future. They also received encouragement to pursue what they love and are passionate about.

The students also had the opportunity to showcase their creativity and public speaking skill as they had to work on a challenge and present their answers.

We would like to thank Macquarie for having us again for the second time this year. It had been a very enriching afternoon for the students!
