Founded in 2002, we started as a help desk for latchkey kids. The Founder built a team that offered advice to students who seemed lost and lacked family support. Today, we provide a broad range of assistance. We offer monthly groceries, lunch pocket money and cooked dinners. Our signature program, Grant-A-Wish, helps needy students with necessities for education, health and basic living. We have thus provided spectacles, hearing aids, sports shoes or equipment, book vouchers and household items. Even fumigation services.

On 31st August, Courts hosted a Career GPS session for students from Teck Whye Secondary School.

The students learned about the history of Courts (166 years old!), the different kinds of jobs available as well as career progression in the company. They also learned about how Courts supports its staff and provides them with opportunities to not just earn a living but to enrich their lives through career development.

The students also took a tour around the 3 levels of retail section and were amazed at the range and arrangement of products. They ended off the session with an excellent discussion where they shared about their reflections and the lessons they could bring home after this learning journey at Courts.
